What can a hyaluron pen do?

Die Kosmetik-Studios müssen aktuell geschlossen bleiben, viele haben jetzt Zeit für Pflege zu Hause und so lässt der Lockdown die Amazon-Bestellungen in die Höhe schnellen. Ob Derma-Roller, Needling-Geräte oder Hyaluron-Pens, passend zum aktuellen Lip-Filler-Boom, wird jetzt alles auch im World Wide Web angeboten.

Ich habe mir diese „Weltneuheit in Sachen Lippenunterspritzung“ bestellt und einmal genauer angesehen. Der Hyaluron Pen soll alle Vorteile bieten, die mit einer klassischen Lippen-Spritzung erreicht werden können, ist dabei aber vollkommen schmerzfrei und non-invasiv. Und noch dazu so günstig. Ich bin gespannt.

Der gelieferte Hyaluron-Injektions-Stift mit Zerstäuber in der bunten Farbkombination rosa/orange ist auf Amazon erhältlich und für jeden bestellbar. Er wird als „Derma-Pen ohne Schmerzen“ angepriesen, wie durch Zauberhand wird Hyaluron richtig platziert und injiziert. Einfache Handhabung für jedermann/frau.

„Plakativ gesagt: Schmerzfrei Lippen auffüllen für € 37,- exkl. Versand – ein Schnäppchen“

Kann das funktionieren? Von mir ein klares NEIN.

Verpackung: Öffne ich die Verpackung, sehe ich eine Ampulle mit nicht gekennzeichneter Flüssigkeit. Es ist kein Ablaufdatum ersichtlich. Die Ampulle mit einer Mini-Spritze liegt bereits leicht geöffnet in der Verpackung und ist nicht steril.

Technik: Ich setze nun die unsterile Nadel auf, damit kann Hyaluronsäure oder auch jedes andere Material, aufgezogen werden. Die Nadel wird nur zum Aufziehen benötigt, denn der Hyaluron-Pen wirbt ja damit, ohne Nadel auszukommen und dadurch schmerzfrei zu sein. Der Pen arbeitet mit dem System einer Druckluftpistole. Wird ein Hebel betätigt, baut sich der Druck auf. Drückt man den Knopf, der sich auf der Hinterseite befindet, schießt das Hyaluron mit einer Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 8000km/h in die Haut. Die vorgegebene technische Anleitung ist erklärungsbedürftig. Ich habe den Kolben schlussendlich hinten herausgenommen und mit quervernetzter Hyaluronsäure befüllt. Im Anschluss diesen wieder aufgesetzt. Es erfolgt der Auflade Vorgang, ich drücke den Knopf und der Kolben schießt die Hyaluronsäure nach unten.

In meinem YouTube-Video zeige ich auch in Zeitlupe, wie ungenau die Hyaluronsäure abgeschossen und platziert wird.

Anwendung: Wenn wir uns den Aufbau der Lippe ansehen, besteht diese nicht nur aus Haut, sondern aus Hornhaut und Lederhaut, Fettgewebe und Muskel. Die Derma-Pens schießen das Hyaluron mit hohem Druck und hoher Geschwindigkeit in das Fettgewebe der Haut. Im Vergleich zu Hyaluroncremes dringt die Substanz tatsächlich in die tieferen Hautschichten, aber trotzdem nicht so weit wie eine Hyaluron-Injektion beim Arzt. Derma-Pens dürfen von Kosmetikerinnen verwendet werden, Spritzen nur von Ärzten – dies hat auch seinen Grund.

Risiken: Neben den bereits genannten Risiken wie unsterile Nadeln, undefinierbare Flüssigkeiten ohne Ablaufdatum und nicht korrekt platziertes Material in der Lippe können Schwellungen, Narben oder eine Nekrose (abgestorbenes Gewebe) auftreten. Beim „Einschießen“ der Flüssigkeit in die Haut können durch den hohen Druck kleine Verletzungen entstehen. Wird nicht steril und unter hohen hygienischen Vorschriften gearbeitet, kann es zu Infektionen kommen. Wird derselbe Hyaluron Pen einer anderen Person weitergegeben oder an einem anderen Patienten wiederverwendet, entstehen die gleichen Risiken wie bei einer wiederverwendeten Nadel (HIV, Hepatitis etc.).

Mein Fazit – Finger weg.

Es handelt sich um eine sehr unsterile Sache mit einem fraglichem Filler.
Es steckt keine Wissenschaft dahinter, es gibt keine Sicherheit, woher das beigepackte Material kommt.
Es gibt keine präzisen Ergebnisse. Der Pen spritzt das Material flächig in die oberflächlichen Hautschichten, nicht präzise in die Fettgewebsschichten, wo es hingehört.
Da der Pen eine relativ neue Erfindung ist, ist noch wenig über längerfristige Nebenwirkungen bekannt.
Es hat seinen Grund, warum Hyaluronsäure von Ärzten der ästhetischen Medizin mittels einer Spritze präzise injiziert wird und wir nicht mit fragwürdigen Hyaluron-Pens arbeiten.

I ordered this “world novelty in lip injections” and took a closer look. The Hyaluron Pen is supposed to offer all the benefits that can be achieved with a classic lip injection, but is completely painless and non-invasive. And on top of that, it is so inexpensive. I’m excited.

The supplied hyaluronic injection pen with atomizer in the colorful pink/orange color combination is available on Amazon for anyone to order. It is touted as a “derma pen without pain”, as if by magic, hyaluron is properly placed and injected. Easy to use for anyone/woman.

Can this work? From me a clear NO.

Packaging: If I open the packaging, I see an ampoule with unlabeled liquid. There is no expiration date apparent. The ampoule with a mini syringe is already slightly opened in the packaging and is not sterile.

Technique: I now put on the non-sterile needle, with which hyaluronic acid or also any other material, can be drawn up. The needle is only needed for the application, because the hyaluronic pen advertises that it does not require a needle and is therefore painless. The pen works with the system of a compressed air gun. When a lever is pressed, the pressure builds up. When the button on the back of the pen is pressed, the hyaluronic acid shoots into the skin at a speed of up to 8000km/h. The technical instructions are very clear. The given technical instructions need some explanation. I finally took the plunger out of the back and filled it with cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Subsequently, this again put on. The charging process takes place, I press the button and the plunger shoots the hyaluronic acid down.

In my YouTube video, I also show in slow motion how inaccurately the hyaluronic acid is shot down and placed.

Application: If we look at the structure of the lip, it is not just skin, but cornea and dermis, fatty tissue and muscle. The derma pens shoot the hyaluronic acid into the fatty tissue of the skin with high pressure and high speed. Compared to hyaluronic creams, the substance actually penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, but still not as far as a hyaluronic injection from a doctor. Derma pens may be used by beauticians, injections only by doctors – there is a reason for this.

Risks: In addition to the risks already mentioned, such as unsterile needles, undefinable fluids with no expiration date, and improperly placed material in the lip, swelling, scarring, or necrosis (dead tissue) can occur. When the fluid is “shot” into the skin, small injuries can occur due to the high pressure. If work is not performed in a sterile manner and under high hygienic regulations, infections may occur. If the same Hyaluron Pen is given to another person or reused on another patient, the same risks arise as with a reused needle (HIV, hepatitis, etc.).

My conclusion – Hands away.

This is a very non-sterile thing with a questionable filler.
There is no science behind it, there is no certainty where the enclosed material comes from.
There are no precise results. The pen injects the material flat into the superficial layers of the skin, not precisely into the layers of fat tissue where it belongs.
Because the pen is a relatively new invention, little is yet known about longer-term side effects.
There is a reason why hyaluronic acid is precisely injected by aesthetic medicine doctors using a syringe and we do not work with questionable hyaluronic pens.
