Hybrid Filler

What is Hybrid Filler?

Hybrid fillers are a combination of hyaluronic acid and biostimulators. These fillers provide both immediate visible results through volume enhancement and long-term benefits by stimulating collagen production in the skin. This means they not only smooth wrinkles but also improve skin texture and quality over time.

Applications of Hybrid Fillers:

  • Facial Contouring: They can enhance volume in areas such as the cheeks, chin, and jawline.
  • Wrinkle Treatment: Since hybrid fillers sustainably build the connective tissue structure, they also help improve wrinkle formation on the skin’s surface.
  • Skin Rejuvenation: By promoting natural collagen and elastin production, hybrid fillers contribute to overall skin quality improvement.

These fillers are suitable for both older patients with visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles and volume loss, and younger patients.

For younger patients, hybrid fillers are often used preventively to slow down the aging process and maintain skin volume at an early stage. Preventive application helps to prevent or minimize the first signs of aging. The amount of hyaluronic acid used over a lifetime is reduced from the first treatment since hyaluronic acid is mixed with calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®).

For older patients, hybrid fillers are primarily used to restore lost volume. Their long-term effect through collagen stimulation makes them particularly beneficial, as they not only provide immediate visible results but also help regenerate the entire connective tissue structure sustainably. Radiesse – one of the key components of hybrid fillers – has been scientifically proven to stimulate collagen, elastin, and new blood vessel formation, enabling natural regeneration.

Areas of Application

Temples: The front and back temple areas are essential for a healthy appearance. Volume loss in this region can lead to tissue sagging, extending to the marionette lines.

Cheeks: When referring to the “cheeks,” both the midface under the eyes and the area in front of the ears may be included. Volume in the midface should never be overdone. Hybrid fillers in the lateral cheeks create a lifting effect.

Chin and Jawline (Jawline Contouring): Defining the chin and jawline is often called “jawline contouring.” This area is particularly popular among patients seeking a sharper transition between the neck and face.

Nasolabial Folds: These folds run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Hybrid fillers can smooth these lines, giving the face a fresher appearance.

Marionette Lines: The lines extending downward from the corners of the mouth can be filled with hybrid fillers. However, if these lines are very pronounced, treatment of the upper facial thirds may be necessary, or in severe cases, a lifting procedure might be required.

Lips: Hybrid fillers must NOT be used for lip volume enhancement or contouring. Lip treatments, as well as tear trough correction, should only be performed with suitable hyaluronic acid fillers.

Dark Circles: Dark circles can result from pigmentation. In such cases, filler treatment is not appropriate. Hybrid fillers must never be used in the tear trough area.
