Vampire lifting, called PRP or plasma lift, is a method that originated in Hollywood, but is now also used throughout Europe. Vampire lifting is basically suitable for all ages and skin types. This treatment is used to regenerate the skin and prevent wrinkles. The aim is to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck and décolleté through injections of the body’s own plasma.
Dr. Katrin Bartsch takes blood from you. This is prepared and enriched using a special procedure. The blood is centrifuged and the valuable blood plasma is isolated and, if desired, enriched with pure hyaluronic acid. This valuable blood plasma contains highly concentrated growth factors for the cells. Using fine needles, the patient’s own blood is injected into the face, neck and/or décolleté. In vampire lifting, the body’s own substances are used, which serve cell regeneration. The autologous blood accelerates the body’s own self-healing processes and thus stimulates the formation and regeneration of new cells. The skin becomes fresher, younger and firmer.
Platelet-rich plasma is the liquid component of the patient’s own blood, which consists of plasma and platelets (thrombocytes). Due to a high concentration of growth factors in PRP, regeneration processes in tissues begin. Connective tissue cells are activated, elastin and collagen are produced. The body’s own hyaluronic acid is also newly formed. Your skin is regenerated from the inside out, the skin texture is improved.
The vampire lift is an outpatient procedure performed in our office. You will not have any downtime. Beforehand, Dr. Katrin Bartsch will explain to you in a detailed consultation how the treatment will proceed. Afterwards, your blood will be drawn and prepared. We apply a local anesthetic ointment to the area to be treated. Now the skin is prepared for the therapy with a needling roller. After that, the autologous blood therapy starts: valuable substances produced by the body are injected into your skin with wafer-thin cannulas and regenerate the skin from the inside.
Pregnancy, acute skin diseases (neurodermatitis, psoriasis, cold sores), HIV, hepatitis, blood coagulation disorders, autoimmune diseases, cancer.
The effect is partially visible immediately after the treatment, but the final result is visible only after a few weeks. The treatment is painless and you have no downtime. We recommend three sessions, a few weeks apart. Side effects may include redness, mild swelling and bruising. We recommend that you avoid sunbathing.
The cost is €450 per treatment.Â
