What to do about annoying lip wrinkles
6. March 2019
Lip wrinkles are understood to be fine creases......
Yay! The cold winter days are finally over, everything is starting to bloom and we are spending more time outdoors again. To help you enjoy this wonderful spring season to the fullest, we are especially pleased to offer the latest treatments with short downtime.
Gentle, fast and without surgery.
This is what our three new top treatment options promise: Ultherapy, Cellfina and Lip-Flip. While Ultherapy is all about gentle wrinkle treatment, the Cellfina procedure offers a new solution for the permanent removal of cellulite and Lip-Flip is a modern technique for natural lip augmentation without a “beak”. Our doctors reveal how the treatments work and what results can be achieved in a short Q&A.
As we all know, beauty also comes from within.
That’s why we asked the experts from EasyEating and The Bag for all those who want to get their body back into shape and “spring fit” from the inside as well. They give exciting tips on sport and nutrition that you can easily follow!
Ultherapy® with Dr. Katrin Bartsch
A: We always have our finger on the pulse and examine new forms of treatment in aesthetic medicine very carefully. Only when we see potential, very good results and a safe procedure do we offer this to our patients. Ultherapy® is a non-invasive ultrasound procedure for tightening sagging facial and body contours that achieves beautiful results and offers an alternative to surgery. This is because more and more patients want gentle rejuvenation, with little pain and without surgery. Ultherapy® works from the inside out to tighten and lift the skin. The ultrasound heats the deeper layers of the connective tissue and causes collagen and elastic fibres in the connective tissue to regrow. It is ideal for treating the cheek, chin and neck area, to treat small wrinkles around the eyes or to lift the eyebrows. The décolleté, arms and elbows as well as the legs can also be tightened. Ultherapy® can restore natural tone and elasticity.
Cellfina® treatment with Dr. Rolf Bartsch
A: For a certain part of those affected this is now really true – because when treating structural cellulite with the novelty Cellfina® in combination with Radiesse® and Ultherapy® we now get beautiful results. So we are in a new era, because until now cellulite was untreatable
Cellulite has three causes, soft tissue/soft skin, too much or too little fat tissue and structural cellulite. And it is precisely this structural cellulite that we can now successfully treat. The future is called combination therapy, we no longer rely on just one form of therapy, but combine different treatments. With ultrasound, Radiesse® and Cellfina® we have the best results, this is also to be proven by the study I am currently carrying out with 60 affected cellulite patients.
Botox Lip-Flip with Dr. Katrin Bartsch
A: Up to now we have mostly used hyaluron as a filler to enlarge the shape of the lips. In this case, volume is built up from below by injecting in the right places and the lips are plumped up. With the new Botox “Lip Flip” technique, I inject small amounts of Botox into the upper middle area of the upper lip. As soon as the muscle relaxes, the lip “flips” outwards, rotates and thus appears naturally larger without having built up volume. The right combination with a little hyaluron leads to perfect contours, naturally full lips – without a “tube bottom” or “beak”.
Nutrition tips from EasyEating
A: I recommend three meals a day, but no snacks in between and a 4-5 hour break between meals. The meal breaks of several hours keep insulin levels low and promote fat loss. For breakfast I go for warm soul food like porridge, for lunch salad and vegetables, a light protein source like chicken, lean meat, fish, seafood or feta, tofu, cottage cheese, ricotta, parmesan, nuts, pine nuts. Add a high-quality carbohydrate such as brown rice, couscous, bulgur, quinoa but also potatoes or sweet potatoes. For dinner, I recommend homemade vegetable soup or courgette noodles with sugo, tomatoes or a fresh frittata made with vegetables and 2 eggs.
TIP:
Grapefruit and limes immediately before each meal.
Exercise in the fresh air at least 2x a week for 45 minutes each.
Intermittent fasting 1 – 2x a week for 16 hours without solid food.
Sport tips from “The Bag
A: Freely according to the motto: “Exercise is life”! One of the most important basic rules is to choose exercises that involve the whole body as much as possible. In particular, you should focus on leg exercises in order to sustainably and noticeably boost fat burning and calorie consumption! Exercises such as squats, lunges, pelvic lifts and various variations of these are particularly suitable for this. In addition, I recommend abdominal, back and arm exercises to tone these areas in the long term. For an efficient implementation, you need the optimal intensity and exact execution of movements to reach your goals as quickly and healthily as possible! That’s why I advise professional guidance and support – ideally from a private coach! However, it should be noted that the path to a “summer figure” and sustainable health can only be achieved with the right diet! You can achieve big changes with small adaptations!
